Hello! I'm Jimmy Khurana, your Nutritionist and Health and Wellness Coach
About Me
I’m a Dietitian, Certified Diabetic Educator, Nutrition
Consultant, a Health and Wellness coach, writer, and a Mom. I'm a
Delhi University alumnus and received my Bachelors of Science
degree with a specialization in Food and Nutrition from Delhi
University and my Masters of Science degree in Dietetics and
Public Health Nutrition from Delhi University. I’ve been
passionate about healthy family and family nutrition. My expertise
includes over 9 years of experience in various areas of health and
critical care departments of food and nutrition. I have been
practicing as a dietician in multispecialty hospital from last 7
years and serving patients with heart problems, diabetes,
pre-diabetes, cancer, pregnancy, lactating mothers, obesity,
kidney failures, post-surgical nutrition care and many more. I
have shared reliable, practical, and easy to follow advice that
has helped people eat better, live healthier, and lead more
fulfilling lives.
My Philosophy
My philosophy in health and nutrition is quite simple. I believe
that nutrition science should be realistic and understandable. I
don't say good or bad food, but just food that is better for you
than other. Nutrition shouldn't be something super restrictive or
overwhelming. Honestly, I believe that all foods can fit into a
balanced diet, it is just learning about your body and the balance
required for you. From all these years of work, I have seen many
people indulging themselves in crash dieting and shortcuts
resulting in problems and diseases related to health and
nutrition. Are you dieting to lose weight, are you sure, you are
in the right direction and losing bad fat from your body or losing
muscle mass, losing strength or even weakening your immunity. Such
mistakes can also lead to hair loss, joint issues, disease. There
is no shortcut to healthy living. Nutrition is a science and I
want to help people by translating nutrition into simple words and
help them to make right and healthy food choices for a healthier
lifestyle.
My Approach
My nutrition approach is not complicated nor filled with difficult
choices rather no-nonsense. I look to nutrition science to make
right decisions on the newest trend or fad. We can make out best
from what we have, it is important to love your food. I do not
believe in dieting, rather making small changes in your lifestyle
and approach to focus on practical strategies that lead to long
lasting success and healthier lifestyle.
My Mission
My mission is to make people live a healthier life with what they
have, stay within their budget and help them understand the real
meaning of nutrition and a balanced diet. That is why I started
ArthSwasth.com, to share my knowledge, and what I have seen
to work in thousands of my patients. ArthSwasth.com is a
podium for me to connect with people and help them to clear myths
and confusion about nutrition. Helping people cut through the
clutter and focus on the fad-free facts about nutrition and enjoy
good food and improve their health.
What I believe
Nutrition is a science, not a point of view. Nutrition is too
often mired in myths, misinformation, and misery. Taste and health
can happily co-exist. It’s important to eat what you love and love
what you eat. If something sounds too good to be true - it usually
is. No single food is the downfall - or a saviour. Food should be
enjoyed, not feared.
